CHASE CREDIT CARDS

Chase credit card offers range from no frill, bare bones cards such as Chase Slate to high end (and high fee) airline rewards cards such as the Continental OnePass card. In between are cards like Chase Freedom and Chase Sapphire, which offer no annual fee rewards. With the Chase Freedom card, you can earn between 1% and 5% cash back. With Chase Sapphire, you earn Ultimate Rewards points that can be redeemed for cash, travel, and merchandise.

When choosing a Chase credit card, the key thing to consider is how you use your credit card. If you have high interest credit card debt, look for a Chase card with a 0% APR on balance transfers. If you want to earn rewards, but aren't a big spender, focus on no annual fee rewards cards like Chase Freedom. Lastly, if you are frequent traveler and heavy spender, an airline card from Chase, particularly the Continental OnePass card, may be your best choice.

About Chase Credit Cards

Chase is among the nation's largest issuers of MasterCard and Visa credit cards. A key feature of Chase credit cards that differentiates Chase from other issuers is Chase Blueprint. Chase Blueprint is an online credit and debt management tool available on a number of Chase cards, including Chase Slate, Chase Freedom, and Chase Sapphire.

Chase Blueprint consists of four unique tools. The first, and most useful to cardholders who carry balances from month to month, is called Full Pay. With Full Pay, consumers can avoid interest on everyday purchases simply by sorting these purchases and opting to pay them in full when their bills arrive.

Split and Finish It are two tools that enable customers to set up payment schedules on purchases that can't be immediately repaid. With Split, you can opt to pay for a large purchase over a set period of months based on your budget. With Finish It, you can create a plan to pay off existing debt based on not only your budget, but on reducing overall interest costs. The fourth feature, Track It, provides consumers the ability to monitor spending in major categories.

Chase Credit Card Rewards

Chase offers a very broad range of rewards, ranging from cash back to co-branded airline rewards. Chase Freedom is their flagship cash back credit card. Freedom cardholders earn 1% cash back on every purchases, plus up to 5% cash back on up to $1,500 in popular spending categories that change every three months. Consumers who take full advantage of this can earn an extra $240 a year in rewards.

Chase Sapphire is a points based reward card that allows users to earn Ultimate Rewards. Unlike most point based programs, Ultimate Rewards points can be redeemed for cash at a value of one cent per point. This is a unique feature that is unavailable in competing rewards programs, such as Citi's Thank You Rewards, Bank of America Worlpoints, and even American Express Membership Rewards.

In addition to Chase's in house rewards programs, they also team up with major brands, including Continental, Marriott, and Southwest Airlines. Chase's Continental OnePass Plus credit card is a standout in this category. Apart from typical rewards card offerings, this card offers members free checked bags on Continental flight, a perk that can save frequent flyers $50 per person on a roundtrip flight.
