American Express offers two blue credit cards: the American Express Blue Card and the American Express Blue Cash card. At www.applyblue.com, you can apply online for the regular Blue credit card. To begin, the standard Blue card offers a significantly longer introductory APR on purchases. Whereas Blue Cash only offers a 0% for 6 Months, the Blue card offers a 0% APR for up to 15 Months.
The second major difference is the reward program. Blue Cash offers consumers up to 5% cashback on everyday purchases, though in order to get this cashback rate, you must first spend over $8500 a year. Prior to that, you only earn .5% to 1.5% cashback.
