In the article entitled, “Credit card companies' evil tricks,” Ms. Weston quotes SmartCreditChoices articles editor Jeff Weber on the subject of tricky 0% interest rates, an issue SmartCreditChoices has tackled in numerous articles aimed to provide better consumer awareness and understanding of how credit card applications can be difficult to understand.
Ms. Weston writes that, when applying for a 0% credit card, “the terms (can be) variable as well. A card may offer 0% for "up to" a year, for example, but once you've applied, you may get the touted rate for as little as three months, said Jeffrey Weber of SmartCreditChoices.com.”
