CASH BACK REBATE CREDIT CARDS
Over the last few years, cash back rebate credit cards have changed. Why? Because credit card companies were losing money on them. Yes, as strange as that sounds, it is true. One year ago, there were a handful of credit cards that offered 5% cashback on all gas station, grocery shop, and drugstore purchases. Today, most credit cards offer 1% cashback, with 2% deals available on certain offers.
Unfortunately, the trend amongst major credit card companies is to offer less cashback-as well as charge higher interest rates-so in today's credit card environment, finding a credit card with 2% cashback should be considered an accomplishment.
